Self-Introduction




Hi, My name is Salve. Ma. Salve Magallanes and I’m from the Philippines. My mom and dad still live in the Philippines. They live in a small town called Mambusao, Capiz located in Panay Region, where I also spent my silver year of life and finished my primary and secondary education. I’m 26 years old, I’m the youngest child and I have two brothers. I’m an optimistic, compassionate, well-mannered person with a good sense of humor.
I learned English in my very young age, not only in school but also at home, it was fueled by curiosity and imagination.
I have different struggles in life, moving in to a new country away from home and settling here is one of a huge challenge. I live in Siem Reap, Cambodia, here you can find the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia the famous temple of Angkor Wat- that why, I love it here. I’m having a great time. It’s just me my brother and some friends and we’re very happy.
I’m working in school as a School Nurse and a part time English teacher. I have knowledge in phonetics focusing mainly in pronunciation and speaking. I’ve been teaching for more than a year.
I went to the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City. I finished my degree of Bachelor Science in Nursing. I graduated in 2008 and got my license as Registered Nurse in the year 2009.
I worked at the hospital for more than two years during those periods, I have learned a lot; I learned the value of teamwork and commitment, how to win, how to work hard, how to concentrate and focus on goals, and how to balance my time and priorities.
These days, my hobbies are pretty much singing, reading and I also like biking it’s my sort of exercise, we always go to the temple every weekends and it’s very fascinating to me.
As to my communicative strengths, I have the willingness to communicate with others and make friends, because I reckon that friends would cheer me up when I’m down and share delight when I’m happy.
